IP68 Pole Box for Direct Drop Distribution with a 1x8 splitter and 3m of 12 core ULW Feeder Cable

The IP68 Drop Point enclosures are designed for use in outdoor fibre deployment projects, including Fibre to the Home (FTTH) networks.

These pre-terminated sealed enclosures offer a rapid and flexible solution for connecting subscriber or customer drop cables, effectively reducing costly labour expenses.

Featuring pre-connectorised hardened connectors known as SUPERTAP, the drop cables can be easily and swiftly plugged into the enclosure without the need for splicing or specialised technical skills.

Thanks to its IP68 rating, it can be installed in manholes either directly at the bottom or on swing arms using screws or ties on the brackets. The bracket provided with the IP68 enclosure allows for installation on a wall via screws or on a pole using straps.

This Drop Point allows distribution to 12 subscribers via pre-connectorised drop cables and is equipped with 12 hardened ports compatible with the main industry-standard SC-APC adapters. Additionally, it includes a pre-installed 12-fibre optical cable connected to the ports, following a Common Point to Point topology.

Application

• This cable is suitable for FTTH roll out and a range of light weight drop type design/construction cables for installation in the Fibre Network in Overhead and Underground environments.
• This cable meets the breaking load requirement between 1350N to 2000N in the interests of safety for overhead applications. It benefits form unique safety features of predictable breaking load which is essential in the event of vehicle strike, to protect equipment and minimise the risk of loss of tangible assets that could potentially harm personnel, property or equipment and will be a fully safe aerial installation solution. Span length of 55 meters maximum.
