What is Conlok Steel Conduit?

Introduction

Demon Cato’s Conlok Steel Conduit System is a durable fast-fix cable management system designed for use in industrial and commercial applications. Manufactured from high-quality steel and iron (conduit tube and accessories respectively), with finishes for both internal & external applications, as well as clean room environments.

This blog will provide an overview of the Conlok Steel Conduit System, covering its features, benefits, and applications.

What is Conlok?

Conlok by Demon Cato, is the only fully galvanised conduit system available on the market, and is used to protect and route electrical wiring and cabling.

Comprising of steel conduit tube and couplers, with malleable iron bends, boxes, and adaptors, Conlok conforms to BS EN 61386-21:2004 (Conduit Systems for Cable Management - Rigid Conduit Systems).

The Conlok System is IP41 (Ingress Protection) Rated, meeting the general requirement of traditional conduit systems.

The Galvanisation Process

Available for internal & external applications with Conlok’s hot dip galvanised option, this process sees the raw material coated with a layer of zinc to prevent rust and corrosion. The zinc layer forms a protective barrier that prevents oxygen and moisture from coming into contact with the underlying metal, and its self-sacrificing properties ensure that the product is fully protected, ensuring a long lifespan.

Clean Room Conlok

Conlok is also available for Clean Room environments with all steel conduit lengths manufactured from clean room-ready material, and clean room accessories receiving a bespoke clean room finish. Designed to reduce the risk of zinc whiskers, Conlok’s clean room option is an ideal fast-fix solution for data centres and electronic manufacturing plants.
